Every time I make this, my family swears it tastes like something straight from an old-fashioned Amish kitchen. It’s warm, hearty, and always disappears fast!
👉Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
👉Directions:
✅️1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
✅️2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
✅️3. In a slow cooker, combine the beef mixture, mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
✅️4. Layer the sliced potatoes on top of the beef mixture. Continue layering until everything is used.
✅️5. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours, or until the potatoes are tender.
✅️6. In the last 30 minutes, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover again and cook until melted.
✅️7. Serve hot. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
