◾️ For the Steak
๐ 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (1 inch thick)
๐ Salt & black pepper, to taste
๐ 1 tbsp olive oil
๐ 2 tbsp butter ๐ง
๐ 3 garlic cloves, smashed
๐ Fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs ๐ฟ (optional)
◾️ For the Cajun Shrimp Sauce
๐ ½ lb (225 g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
๐ 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
๐ 2 tbsp butter ๐ง
๐ 3 garlic cloves, minced
๐ ½ cup diced onion ๐ง
๐ ½ cup diced red or yellow bell pepper ๐ซ
๐ 1 cup heavy cream ๐ฅ
๐ ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated ๐ง
๐ Juice of ½ lemon ๐
๐ Salt & black pepper, to taste
๐ Fresh parsley ๐ฟ (for garnish)
▶️ How To Make It
1️⃣ Sear the Steaks
Pat steaks dry, season with salt & pepper. Heat oil in a cast iron skillet.
Sear 3–4 min per side (medium-rare). Add butter, garlic & herbs, baste in the last minute.
Remove, cover loosely, and rest.
2️⃣ Cook the Shrimp
Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
Melt butter in the same skillet, sautรฉ garlic 30 sec, then cook shrimp 1–2 min per side until pink. Remove.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce
Sautรฉ onions & peppers until softened.
Pour in cream + Parmesan, stir until thick & silky.
Return shrimp, squeeze lemon juice, toss to coat.
4️⃣ Assemble & Serve
Plate steak, spoon shrimp cream sauce over the top.
Garnish with parsley. Serve with mashed potatoes ๐ฅ, pasta ๐, or rice ๐.
