👉Ingredients:
●2 ribeye steaks (1 inch thick)
●Salt & freshly ground black pepper
●2 tbsp olive oil
●4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
●4 garlic cloves, minced
●1 cup cremini mushrooms, sliced
●1/2 cup heavy cream
●1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
●1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
●1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
●1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
👉Instructions:
✅️1. Prep the Steaks:
Let steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat them dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
✅️2. Sear the Steaks:
Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare. In the last minute, add 2 tbsp butter and baste the steaks with it.
✅️3. Rest the Steaks:
Transfer steaks to a plate and loosely cover with foil to rest.
✅️4. Make the Mushroom Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tbsp butter. Add garlic and mushrooms, cooking until mushrooms are golden (about 4–5 minutes).
✅️5. Finish the Sauce:
Stir in cream, Parmesan, thyme, and Dijon mustard (if using). Let simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
✅️6. Serve:
Return steaks to the skillet or serve on plates with the creamy mushroom sauce spooned over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley.
