French Ham and Cheese Lasagna



👉Ingredients:

9 lasagna sheets

2 cups béchamel sauce (butter, flour, milk, nutmeg)

2 cups grated Gruyère cheese

200g thinly sliced French ham (jambon blanc)

1 tablespoon butter

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Directions:


✅️Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).


✅️Prepare béchamel sauce: melt butter in a saucepan, add flour and cook for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in warm milk until smooth and thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.


✅️Lightly butter a baking dish.


✅️Spread a thin layer of béchamel sauce on the bottom of the dish.


✅️Layer 3 lasagna sheets over the béchamel.


✅️Spread half the béchamel sauce over the sheets, then layer half the ham slices evenly. Sprinkle with a third of the grated Gruyère.


✅️Repeat layers: 3 lasagna sheets, remaining béchamel, remaining ham, and another third of the cheese.


✅️Finish with the last 3 lasagna sheets, remaining béchamel sauce, and the remaining Gruyère cheese on top.


✅️Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.


✅️Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley.
