👉Ingredients
◾️1.5 lbs beef chuck (cubed) or flank steak (thinly sliced against the grain)
◾️4 cups broccoli florets
◾️½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
◾️¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
◾️¼ cup beef broth
◾️3 cloves garlic, minced
◾️1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
◾️1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp cold water (optional, to thicken)
◾️Cooked rice, for serving
◾️Sesame seeds, for garnish
👉Instructions:
1️⃣ Make the Sauce & Add Beef
In your slow cooker, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, broth, garlic, and ginger. Add beef and stir well.
2️⃣ Cook
On LOW: 6–8 hours (best for chuck roast)
On HIGH: 2–3 hours (if using flank steak)
3️⃣ Add Broccoli & Thicken
About 30 minutes before serving, stir in broccoli florets. If you’d like a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with cold water, then stir into the slow cooker.
4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy
Serve hot over rice, sprinkle sesame seeds on top, and enjoy your homemade takeout favorite!
💡 Tips for the Best Results:
🔹️1. Choose the Right Cut: Chuck roast gives the most tender results for slow cooking, while flank steak risks becoming chewy.
🔹️2. Fresh is Best: Use fresh broccoli to keep the crunch—frozen tends to soften more.
🔹️3. Flavor Boost: Stir in a teaspoon of toasted sesame oil or a pinch of red pepper flakes before serving for extra depth.
