๐ฅ HOBO CASSEROLE: RUSTIC GROUND BEEF & POTATO BAKE ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Layers of golden potatoes, juicy ground beef, creamy mushroom sauce, and melted cheddar… this is comfort food at its finest! ๐คค Perfect for cozy nights or hearty family dinners.
๐ Ingredients:
↘️1½ lb (680 g) ground beef
↘️1 medium onion, finely chopped
↘️2 cloves garlic, minced
↘️5–6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced (Yukon Gold or Russet)
↘️1 can (10.5 oz / 298 g) cream of mushroom soup
↘️1/2 cup sour cream
↘️1/2 cup milk
↘️1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
↘️1 tsp paprika
↘️Salt & black pepper, to taste
↘️1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for greasing)
↘️Chopped parsley or green onion, for garnish (optional)
๐ฉ๐ณ Directions:
1️⃣ Preheat: Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2️⃣ Cook beef: Brown beef (6–8 min). Add onion & garlic, cook 2–3 min more. Season with paprika, salt & pepper.
3️⃣ Mix sauce: Whisk soup, sour cream & milk until smooth. Season lightly.
4️⃣ Layer: Potatoes → beef → sauce. Repeat. Finish with sauce on top.
5️⃣ Bake: Cover with foil, bake 45 min. Remove foil, add cheese, bake 15–20 min until bubbly & golden.
6️⃣ Serve: Rest 10 min. Garnish with parsley or green onions.
