✅️1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. Transfer to the slow cooker.
✅️2. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Sear it in the same skillet for 2–3 minutes per side, then transfer to the slow cooker.
✅️3. Deglaze the skillet with red wine, scraping up the browned bits. Let it simmer briefly, then stir in the chicken broth, tomato sauce, and soy sauce.
✅️4. Gradually whisk in the flour until smooth. Pour the sauce over the beef in the slow cooker.
✅️5. Add garlic, 3 tsp thyme, carrots, potatoes, and mushrooms. Stir to combine.
