Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Pockets
👉Ingredients:
▶️1 sheet puff pastry (about 250g), thawed
▶️150g (5 oz) ham, sliced or diced
▶️150g (5 oz) cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Gruyère), grated
▶️1 large egg, beaten (for brushing)
▶️1 tbsp Dijon mustard or mayonnaise (optional)
▶️Black pepper, to taste
👉Instructions:
✅️1. Prepare the Pastry:
◾️Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
◾️Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
◾️Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
✅️2. Fill and Fold:
◾️Spread a little Dijon mustard or mayo on half of each rectangle (if using).
◾️Add ham and sprinkle cheese on top. Season with black pepper.
◾️Fold the other half of the pastry over to form a pocket.
◾️Seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
✅️3. Bake:
◾️Place the pockets on the baking sheet.
◾️Brush the tops with beaten egg.
◾️Bake for 18–20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
◾️Let cool slightly before serving.

◾️Great with a side salad.
◾️Serve with ketchup, honey mustard, or garlic dip.
👉Tips:
◾️Add herbs like parsley or chives for extra flavor.
◾️For some heat, add chili flakes or a slice of jalapeño.
◾️Make sure edges are sealed to prevent cheese from leaking.
