Slow Cooker Chicken with Kantong Sauce

Looking for a quick, easy, and crowd-pleasing dinner? This slow cooker chicken dish is a go-to in our home—and best of all, it’s incredibly simple to make! With just a few ingredients and minimal prep, you’ll have a flavorful, comforting meal that the whole family will love. I always make a double batch to make sure there’s plenty to go around!

๐Ÿง‚ Ingredients (for a double batch):

1.5 kg chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)

2 bottles of Kantong sauce (your favorite flavor—e.g., Honey Soy, Teriyaki)

1 large bag of frozen mixed vegetables (e.g., peas, carrots, corn, broccoli)

1.5 packs of Asian-style noodles (rice noodles, egg noodles, or your choice)

๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ Method:

✅️1. Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 2 hours.

✅️2. After 2 hours, drain all the liquid from the cooker.

✅️3. Add the two bottles of Kantong sauce to the chicken and cook for another hour.

✅️4. Remove the chicken, chop it into bite-sized pieces, and return it to the cooker.

✅️5. Thaw and heat the frozen vegetables in the microwave (to avoid cooling down the slow cooker), then add them to the chicken.

✅️6. Cook everything together for 1 more hour.

✅️7. In the last 5 minutes, cook the noodles according to the package instructions, then add 1.5 packs of noodles to the chicken and veggies.

✅️8. Mix well and serve hot!

๐Ÿ‘‰ 5 Tips for Best Results:

1. Use chicken thighs instead of breast—they stay juicy and tender after long cooking.

2. Don’t skip draining the liquid after the first cook—it keeps the sauce rich and not watery.

3. Only use 1.5 packs of noodles to keep the sauce balanced and avoid drying out the dish.

4. Preheat the frozen veggies before adding them so the slow cooker stays at the right temperature.

5. Switch up the sauce flavor from time to time to keep things interesting—try Sweet & Sour, Lemongrass Ginger, or Garlic Soy.

๐Ÿ”น️This recipe is a true family favorite for a reason: it’s hearty, full of flavor, and comes together with minimal effort. Perfect for busy days, meal prep, or when you just want something comforting and delicious. Give it a try—you might find it becomes a regular on your weekly menu too!
