✅️Ingredients:
↪️For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
1½ lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
↪️For the Mashed Potatoes:
2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
½ cup heavy cream (or milk)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
¼ cup sour cream (optional for creaminess)
Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)
✅️Instructions:
👉Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
🔹️In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
🔹️Add the peeled and chopped potatoes, cooking until tender (about 15-20 minutes).
🔹️Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
🔹️Add heavy cream, butter, and sour cream (if using). Mash until smooth and creamy.
🔹️Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm.
👉Cook the Steak Bites:
🔹️While the potatoes are cooking, season the steak bites with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).
🔹️In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
🔹️Once melted, add the steak bites in a single layer.
🔹️Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
🔹️Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set them aside.
🔹️In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
🔹️Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
🔹️Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat them in the garlic butter sauce.
👉Serve and Garnish:
🔹️Serve the garlic butter steak bites over a generous portion of mashed potatoes.
🔹️Garnish with fresh parsley over the steak bites and chives over the mashed potatoes for a pop of color and added flavor.
👉Notes:
🔹️For a richer flavor, consider using herb butter instead of regular butter when cooking the garlic and steak.
🔹️Adjust the garlic amount based on your preference for a milder or stronger garlic flavor.
🔹️If you prefer a leaner option, use sirloin or tenderloin for the steak bites.
🔹️Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cooking Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 4
